Eye Hospital Dadeldhura

Introduction of Eye Hospital Dadeldhura:

Eye Hospital Dadeldhura was established on 21st January 2005 as an Eye Care Center to provide eye care to the patients of Dadeldhura district. To provide surgical eye care service at the center it was upgraded as Surgical Eye Center on 8th September 2012 and monthly specialty service as well as surgical eye care service provided by ophthalmologists from Geta Eye Hospital.

It was further upgraded as secondary level eye hospital on 17th November 2022 to provide regular specialty eye care service and surgical eye care. The hospital is run by Nepal Netrajyoti Sangh Geta Eye Hospital with the support of SEVA Foundation and Fred Hollows Foundation.

Eye Hospital Dadeldhura

Hospital is rendering eye care service to more than 11 thousand patients including more than six hundred surgeries annually. Hospital providing subsidized or free surgeries to the walk in patients who cannot afford the costs and free eye care service through community outreach camps. Hospital also runs school eye health program, training to school teachers, female community health volunteers to create awareness and develop referral network. In the fiscal year 2022-23 hospital had provided eye care service to 11,723 patients including 622 surgeries.
